Who We Are

Dedicated to rebuilding lives through support, structure, and community care.

Building Stability, One Life at a Time

At A Neighbor That Cares LLC, we provide safe, supportive, and structured transitional housing for individuals returning from incarceration and those navigating major life transitions. We understand that reentry and recovery can be overwhelming, and we believe stable housing is the foundation for rebuilding a meaningful, independent life.

Strengthening Residents, Changing Lives

Through compassion, structure, and practical resources, we empower every resident to regain confidence, stability, and hope. Our programs combine housing, case management, community support, and life‑skills guidance to help residents build lasting success.

Our Mission

We are committed to providing safe, structured transitional housing for formerly incarcerated individuals and others in need. By fostering stability, reducing recidivism, and promoting successful community reintegration, we help residents rebuild their lives with accountability, compassion, and practical solutions.

Our Vision

We envision a Georgia where every returning citizen and individual facing instability has access to safe housing, strong support networks, and opportunities to achieve long-term independence. Through partnerships with community organizations and public programs, we aim to help end homelessness and create pathways for every resident to succeed.

Meet Nicole Adams

A Neighbor That Cares LLC is inspired by the lived experiences of our founder, Nicole Adams, whose journey reflects determination, resilience, and a commitment to serving others. Born in Atlanta in 1984, Nicole faced early loss and instability. After losing her father during high school, she and her mother had to leave their home, prompting Nicole to work her first job while completing her education. She became the first among her siblings to graduate from high school and college, earning an associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree, and eventually a master’s in public administration.

Leading With Experience and Heart

Nicole’s professional experience includes impactful roles at the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Emory Hospital, and the City of Tucker, where she honed her skills in communication, cultural awareness, and community engagement. Today, she owns multiple residential properties and applies her expertise and life experience to provide supportive housing for individuals rebuilding their lives.

Compassion Meets Structure

We offer more than housing. Our holistic approach blends compassion with structure to create a support system that empowers residents to rebuild step by step. What makes our approach effective:

  • Structured transitional housing promoting safety, accountability, and personal responsibility

  • Access to essentials, including hygiene packages, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, and nearby public transportation

  • Life skills and case management support for goal setting and independence

  • Partnerships connecting residents to employment, education, counseling, and social services

  • Strong non-discrimination policy ensuring every individual is welcome

Transforming Lives, Not Just Providing Housing

We believe true transformation happens when residents are supported, encouraged, and held to clear expectations. Our programs aim to break cycles, build lasting stability, and help residents achieve independence—because our work is not temporary; it’s life-changing.
